A menu to begin with
Morning tea: soft fruit colour bowls. Lunch: the centre’s approved roast chicken or bean-and-vegetable dish with soft roast vegetables. Afternoon tea: carrot-oat mini muffins. Offer the centre’s reviewed vegetarian and other dietary meals alongside.
Make it manageable
Use the mini-muffin activity for a batch of 24 small muffins. Leave them undecorated or add a soft topping already approved by the centre. Paper table artwork can supply the festive detail; food does not need hard sprinkles, picks or small decorative objects.
Include your families
Ask whether an end-of-year gathering or another description fits the group. Invite families to suggest stories and music without requiring anyone to take part in religious activities. Keep celebrations within the normal eating routine.
Kitchen checks
The muffin recipe contains wheat, oats, egg and milk. Check gravy, marinades and substitute ingredients as well. Keep raw poultry work separate from ready-to-eat food and use the centre’s validated cooking, holding and service procedure. Manage visitors’ food through the centre’s external-food policy.
