A simple menu idea
Morning tea: soft pear and banana. Lunch: approved vegetable-and-bean casserole with small bread rolls. Afternoon tea: a centre-approved yoghurt or equivalent with soft fruit. These are ideas to fit within your assessed menu cycle.
A bread-making morning
Follow Little bread makers and let children compare dough before and after rising. Use plain small rolls for predictable ingredients. Skip whole dried fruit or decorative pieces unless they are appropriate for the children’s eating abilities and individual plans.
Offer a choice
Some families celebrate Easter religiously, some culturally and some do not. Ask what participation is welcome. A seed-growing or spring/autumn discussion can run beside any celebration; in Australia the season is autumn.
Review the complete plate
Bread contains wheat. Check casserole stock, yoghurt and alternatives by brand. A child’s alternative should arrive at the same time with its own identified serving utensils. Use non-food items for any treasure hunt, selected for age and choking safety.
